ABOUT ME

...In case you were curious to learn more about your wonderful math teacher :)

I am originally from Brooklyn, NY, but spent most of my childhood living in the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania. My early interactions with children influenced the decision to make education my life's work. I graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, concentrating in mathematics and science. During my time at Penn State, I enhanced my education by traveling the world as much as possible. During my junior year, I participated in Semester at Sea, a global studies program involving field work and cross-cultural exposure in 11 countries around the world. Thoroughly inspired by this experience, I dedicated the following two years of my life to combining my interest in learning about the world with my passion for teaching. During this time, I volunteered as an English Language teacher in an economically deprived school located in Costa Rica. I also completed my student teaching practicum in Bognor Regis, England. My experiences have driven me to become an educator who promotes a global perspective in my students.

Anaconda students: if you would like to hear more about the countries I visited and students I taught , just ask me! I have lots of great pictures and some really amazing stories!
